Looking for a way to organize and customize the different types of contracts you manage? Scout’s Contract module will allow you to manage different types of contracts while giving you the ability to create your own Contract Types and customize the statuses for each of them.

Contract Types
Scout Contracts comes with four default Contract Types: MSA, SOW, NDA, and Amendment.
Create Contract Types
Company Admins can customize and add new Contract types via the Settings menu:
Select Manage Contract Types under Customize Contracts in Settings to add and manage Contract Types for your company.
Add Contract Types
To add new Contract Types, you will enter the Contract Type Name and Code, then click the green Add New Contract Type button to save:
Customize Contract Types
Once you’ve added a Contract Type, click on the Contract Type in the list on the left-hand side of your settings. In this example, Master Service Agreement:
Add a new “In Progress” Status by clicking the green Add button.
Or use the Edit and Delete buttons to adjust existing In Progress Statuses.
Using Contract Types
Once you've created and customized Contract Types, go to your Contracts Workbench to put them into play!
Create a new Contract and identify the Contract Type within the Contract Summary:
Once you've selected a Contract Type, you will see the corresponding In Progress Statuses via the Contract Status Menu:
Manage Contract Reasons
In addition to customizing your In Progress Statuses, you'll also be able to control Termination and Needs Attention reasons for your Contracts.
Once you are in the Settings menu, you'll select Manage Contract Reasons under Customize Contracts to add and manage Termination & Need Attentions Reasons for your Contracts.
